Gracias al esfuerzo incansable de este varón de Dios, después de llegar con su familia en agosto de 1976 desde Canadá, y luego de varios intentos de obtener un terreno para estos fines, el Señor le mueve hasta Maimón de Bonao, donde encontró una parcela privada en venta en la carretera Maimón-Cotuí. El hermano Donald fijo la compra del terreno con el propietario y luego de comunicar el proyecto a los demás pastores, se aprobó la compra y el cierre de la compra fue hecho en el mismo terreno usando como escritorio notarial una pileta de agua y con una maquina de escribir portátil se formulo el documento el 5 de noviembre de 1976.<br />A partir de entonces se levantaron varias edificaciones con la participación de grupos voluntarios nativos como extranjeros. Para esa época eran usadas las pocas instalaciones del momento para realizar retiros con la ayuda complementaria de carpas. En el verano de 1978 un grupo de jóvenes misioneros ayudaron en la construcción de nuevos dormitorios. Desde entonces el centro ha sido usado en conferencias, campamentos, retiros, cursos-talleres, seminarios, encuentros regionales y nacionales, y actividades a fin. También albergo por un tiempo en sus instalaciones al Instituto Bíblico Quisqueyano (IBQ); entidad que capacitó en estudios teológicos a una gran parte de los pastores de las iglesias bíblicas y de muchas otras denominaciones.<br />En la conferencia nacional de 1990 la Alianza Bíblica Cristiana bautizó el centro con el nombre del principal actor de su surgimiento: Centro Conferencial Bíblico Cristiano DONALD WUNKER.</div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5406655361405038439-44732852916534366?l=campamentobiblico.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Campamento Bíblico Cristiano Donald Wunkerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01789620470053148668noreply@blogger.com0
